Yellow House
The Yellow House restoration revived the glory of whaling Captain Rufus Pease’s home, originally built in 1838. Careful to stay true to the Georgian Colonial-style, the home was lifted to complete a new foundation. Updates were made to bring the home up to date with the needs for the new owners, while still keeping the original flooring and windows. This updated yet traditional home stands as a token of the Vineyard whaling tradition.
